    a few things..

    Image
Saturday,  we headed to Wayland.  I've wanted to see the Winter Market there since last winter's big January storm.  I wasn't disappointed.  We ate good food, saw fiber vendors and friends,  gorgeous plants and all sorts of other goodies.  So many colors and textures!

I got some car knitting done on the trip there and back. Before I headed up to bed, the body of my Ocean Shetland raglan was finished.  I am very impressed with the 'Raglanify' app.  It couldn't be easier to knit a sweater that is customized to your own measurements.

Sunday wasn't quite so much fun,  The best I can say is that I finally finished emptying the bedroom. Only the bed remains. As soon as we get some strong back help, that'll be gone and we'll start sleeping on an air mattress for a month while Chris renovates and installs a new wood floor.

I'm going to miss Downton Abbey.

    1. I love your sweater! I recorded Downton last night – I’m almost dreading to watch it because I know it will be the last time. Sigh….

    2. I am going to miss Downton, too. Sorry to miss you at the Market. Was traveling.

Where did the week go? It's hard to believe that one week ago we were in Freeport Maine setting up our booth for the NETA SPA weekend.  It was wonderful crazy busy fun. I've been playing catch up all week.  Most of my woods time has been backyard close.  Look what I found there!

The cats were so anxious to get out, that we headed into the woods just as the rain stopped.

Beautiful lichens! They almost look sea-like. Wished we could have hung out more at SPA. 🙁

    2. That’s gorgeous. So far nothing much here that is colorful in the woods.

Beautiful fungi, like a handspun lacy shawl in miniature.

Have you ever noticed that when you see something, like a particular model car, you begin seeing them everywhere? It happens with lots of things, like a song as an earworm. Colors can be like that, too.  Yesterday, while I was hanging around in the woods with Willy and Sam, I noticed a beautiful, iridescent feather on a bed of moss and lichen.

My kind of colors.  Believe me, this picture can barely do it justice.  After a bit more poking around, we walked up the hill and I went back to work.  The first batch of yarn on the table waiting for me to tag was this one.

    See what I mean?

ps. I'm thinking it'll be this way with Stopover this weekend.  Anyone wearing one at the NETA SPA ? Thought so.

Gorgeous! Just got my yarn. Will be casting on after I see everyone elses. Considering cardiganizing mine.
